Welcome to FlashLeap. By downloading, installing, or using the FlashLeap application ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Use of the Service

FlashLeap provides a flashcard study tool with spaced repetition, AI card generation, and cloud sync features. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. FlashLeap cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of all flashcard decks, cards, and media you create. By using cloud sync or sharing features, you grant FlashLeap a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

You agree not to create or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

4. AI-Generated Content

FlashLeap offers AI-powered card generation. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated flashcards before studying them.

5. Sharing & Collaboration

When you share a deck, other users can import a copy. Your display name is attached as the author. Share codes expire after 30 days. You are responsible for the content you share.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
• Scrape or harvest data from the service

7. Intellectual Property

The FlashLeap app, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of FlashLeap. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app without prior written permission.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Deleted accounts enter a 90-day recovery period before permanent deletion.

9. Disclaimers

FlashLeap is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any defects will be corrected.

Educational content created by you or generated by AI is not a substitute for professional instruction.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlashLeap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of FlashLeap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
